El Chaltén is a small town in the Argentinian province of Santa Cruz Patagonia Austral, where I was born. It was the last town to be founded in a very beautiful territory that includes Perito Moreno National Park. The entire Patagonian forest ecoregion embraces magnificent biodiversity, which is now thwreatened, for example, by global warming, mainly the melting of the glaciers located around El Chaltén and in El Calafate. The canvas of reference for my artistic production, therefore, draws on the Patagonian landscape now suffering, directly and indirectly, the consequences of the Anthropocentric geological era (...)
